Every piece of art is always an amazing one. Whether it's a poem, a story or a play. Especially if those piece of art are made by inspiring people. Those people who left a big mark in your heart and soul because of the masterpieces they made.
Last February 08, 2014, I together with my block mates and friends watched SugaTula. An event which is composed of several poems performed into plays.I was a bit scared when I entered the MSU-IIT Mini Theater. Why? Who would have ever thought about having the mini theater a horror house? It was because, some of the characters on one of the poems are dressed as ghosts or I may say, they actually looked scary because of their make-ups. it made my heart drop to my feet when I saw them. It feels like I wanted to go home than watch the event. They look like real monsters, actually.
A few minutes after, the event started. I thought the poems or the plays will all be scary or something tragic. But I was amazed on what I witnessed. There, in front of me, the IPAG acted and interpreted the poems with real emotions and feelings. Their movements say all the meaning between the lines and stanzas of the poems they interpret. It was such a breath-taking experience. An experience which I thought wouldn't inspire me. But in fact, it molded me. It helped me reflect on some things in life. How life affects a person. How it drives a person crazy. But despite those stuffs, life still teaches us to be strong and fierce enough to face it's struggles and challenges.
Witnessing such event is provided me great joy and happiness. It enlightened me in my views on some perspectives in life. It widened my understanding and opened my eyes. The poetical play really played a big role in my life. I hope it did the same to others.
